EC tomorrow, feeling nervous and slightly deflated

Stomach is churning this morning at the thought of egg collection tomorrow. Mainly because the nurse told me at my scan on Friday that I can only expect 3 eggs due to the amount of follicles. Apart from an absolute panic when I received my meds, I’ve found the process not to bad so far and have been feeling pretty okay until now. I know 3 eggs is not a positive result. Has anyone else had such a low result? The nurse said it only takes one but I feel my chances are so low now for ivf success.

I only had 4 eggs collected!! Again like you I was quite disappointed!! We had one transferred on day 5 and one carried on growing to day 6 and was then frozen!!!

We will be using our fet soon xx

Wishing you lots of luck tomorrow xx

Really? That’s great to hear and thank you for replying. Just have to get through this coming week then and hope at least one survives. This is like the hurdle race isn’t it. You get over one, and there is another looming in the distance. Wishing you lots of luck in your 2ww and hoping it’s fantastic news.x

It’s one big rollercoaster isn’t it!!! One worry after another!! Sadly our fresh transfer ended in a chemical pregnancy 😢 but we’re thinking positive for our next try!! If that’s fails we will go through the whole process again!!

We won’t give up xxx

Hi, we only had 4 collected, 3 mature, 2 fertilised and both transferred on day 3. Despite good quality embies it was a BFN. It’s true, you do only need one. Stay positive. 3 is enough for egg collection. So that’s a great start. Good luck. Xx

Don’t let that get you done it really does only take one also, you might end up with more than expected, that’s what happened to me x

Sending you lots of luck Noobs, I’ve heard lots of success stories of women who have had 3 eggs collected and gone on to BFPs! Hopefully you will too 🤞🏽 xx

Hi there, I had 4 eggs collected, 3 fertilised normally and had 2 transferred back and did get a BFP as one little embryo stuck.

Unfortunately I had a miscarriage. I also had the last one frozen which unfortunately didn’t take when we transferred in February. Don’t give up though it is all about the quality at the end of the day.

Wishing you lots of luck 💕 xx

Wow congratulations. Great to hear positive outcomes😀x

I just wanted to say good luck for tomorrow. I was a bit gutted at my egg collection as I got 6 eggs & was expecting maybe a couple more.I managed to get 3 embryos transferred back from that 6 though & am now almost 6 weeks pregnant. As others have said it really does only take one! Wishing you all the very best 🙂 x

So that’s EC done this morning. I shouldn’t have worried about the process as I can’t really remember a thing. Only 2 eggs collected though which is stressing me out. Have everything crossed that 1 makes it or its game over for me on this round.
