I’m weighing up IVF options and wondered about IVM.
Has anyone had this? Did it work? Was it better or waste of time?
If anyone has any advice on this I’d be grateful - I’m concerned about the drugs side of things and understand IVM/mini IVF or Mild IVF as they are also known is a cheaper alternative and good for those of us who have polycystic ovaries. Also, for those concerned about the long term impact of fertility meds (which by the way I’m willing to do for my cause) it’s an option but I don’t know if it’s effective.

Hi Ajeff123. Unfortunately, I have not known anyone be successful using IVM. The ladies I knew who tried it, had medical problems and didn't want to use conventional IVF drugs. Immature eggs were removed then grown on in the laboratory for a few days, before fertilising them in the normal way, usually ICSI. That's about all I know, except it makes the whole process much cheaper. Still work in progress, but it is offered in some clinics. Good luck if you go for it. Diane
