As the post suggest I had egg collection yesterday and 14 eggs retrieved. I’ve tried not to look at statistics as to what number is high/low etc as it drives me mad and there’s not a lot you can do to change it. But the embryologist seems happy with this. We had the call this morning to say 12 had fertilised. So all in all a positive result.
To those of you worried about Egg collection, I would say (and I can only talk about my own experience obviously) that it was nowhere near as bad as I thought. I had sedation and it just felt like a big sleep. The cramping was quite painful immediately after but soon went away. I just kept hydrated and took paracetamol.
Good luck to anybody having E/C soon xxx

That's a great result - well done. I'm glad your experience was straight forward - I found it to be absolutely fine too. I hope your embryos continue to do well between now and embryo transfer. Xx
Glad it went well. What a great result and a brilliant fertilisation result! x
That sounds like a really good number to me ( I haven’t been through it but know I have low AMH level and be lucky to get 4 eggs ; this was 4 years ago 😳) I think if you can 4+ then it’s got a higher chance of working; tho as they do say it only takes 1 egg😘
Look forward to hearing your next update 😉 🙌🏻 xoxo
