My right tube was not functioning I was given a 15% chance naturally (could have been part of the delay). My OH and I decided if it didn't happen naturally by 30 we would go for IVF. I went bk to my gp at 29 and was referred for a laparoscopy to see if there was anything causing me not to conceive and they said the surgery was successful and there was no apparent reason. I found out I was pregnant 1.5 months before my 30th, 3 months after surgery. I feel there was something done in the surgery maybe they weren't aware of lol

How long have you been trying? I would suggest looking into IVF with one tube as it could be harder with age xx

Well basically i thought i had fluid in both tubes.... recently had a lap and it was only in one tube so they took that one away..... i had one cycle failed with ivf but have 4 frozen embies waiting. Wanted to see if i could fall without the ivf for a few months and if not go back to the ivf.

Ah right, good you have frozen embies. Hopefully, it happens naturally for you now you have had the problem removed, good luck 🙂

Hi destiny121. If your hormones are all within normal limits and your partner's semen analysis is OK it will take twice as long. This is because we usually ovulate from each ovary alternatively, so your "good" tube has to wait it's turn. However, if you have been trying for more than a year, I would see your GP for possible referral to a specialist's advice. Good luck! Diane

Ovulation occurs randomly from each ovary depending on which follicle becomes dominant, however the right ovary ovulates 55% of the time compared to 45% from the left due to anatomical differences on each side of the body. It could still work for you. Good luck.
