Gave in and tested this morning 5dp5dt..

Slightest faint blue line. Is it way too early to get our hopes up or a good start?!!

Good morning Hidden - fully love your username! Did you just do a fresh or frozen transfer, as the drug protocols are different? ... if it was a fresh transfer then you may want to test again in 3-4 days to make sure the hpt is not detecting the trigger shot. Fingers crossed for you x

Haha thanks! And thanks for replying! My wife and I have done reciprocal IVF so I was the one that had the Hpt , she is on the progesterone!?

What is reciprocal IVF? 😊 HPT is a home pregnancy test. The trigger shot administered before egg collection contains the same hormone that a home pregnancy test detects (hCG). So if your wife tests too early, she could get a false positive. On the other hand, if you took the test (rather than your wife) and it came up positive, then it’s a miracle of science! 😉 Hope all going ok with you both & best of luck to you xx

So does that mean you did the egg collection and she had the embryo transfer? In that case, if she didn’t have the trigger injection then the hcg is a good sign, but you will be able to be more confident in it when you get to test day x

..sorry all these acronyms confuse me! Reciprocal IVF- my eggs, her womb! So I had the trigger shot she didn't! I know it's super early and we are probably a bit silly testing but the suspense is awful! Thank you for both replys and wishes! X

It’s really great that the hpt picked up the pregnancy so early.... maybe it’s twins?? 🤗🤗

I’ve had 7 transfers and the ones that worked showed the faintest of lines exactly 5days post transfer (obviously if I had the trigger shot would wait a bit longer as trigger can take up to 12/14 days to clear in some)

Oh I have googled Reciprocal IVF - now I understand! In which case I think a congratulations are in order!! These tests won’t give false positives, so you are in fact pregnant! Whoop! Fingers crossed all goes well for you both 🤗x

But it's so so faint! Hard to get hopes up yet but I secretly want to shout it from the roof tops!! Thank you for replying! X

5dpt from what I’ve heard is usually safe. Congratulations xxx

Thank you! Feels too soon to be thanking people though! Hard to let yourself believe it! Xx
