Hi - I'm new here. My background is that I have had two unsuccessful short protocol cycles which were funded by the NHS. I have been advised to look at donor eggs going forward by my consultant however would like to give it another go with my own eggs. I am using a donor sperm already.

I am again researching clinics/treatment and wonder if anyone has any has used a clinic in Europe and what they thought of this. Are these as 'safe' and also are they really more cost effective than the UK? Please privately message me if you have any thoughts - it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. Good thing you asked. I was already coming here to tell my experience with a clinic in Europe. I did a lot of research before going for surrogacy. I came across many amazing reviews that encouraged me to go for it. I think you should get into contact with one of them. As for the one I had experience with, they really were very cost effective. I was expecting some okay-quality service at that price. However, I was taken by surprise. They gave us free food, accommodation, and every facility as we flew there from the US. I would say, the clinics in my country were just ripping us off for years. That clinic I visited really took care of us. They offered surrogacy, IVF and egg donation services. Their processes were transparent and efficient, too. Since I got a daughter with the help of that clinic, I've been telling everyone this. Even my friends are tired of hearing me talk about how happy I am that those clinics exist. Surrogacy wasn't for my pocket until I came across that clinic.

Lots of ladies on here have gone abroad. I am one. I am sure you will receive direct messages from people about some and I am sure there is a website you can go to which someone will post a link to. I can't remember which one. It has lots of accredited clinics across Europe.

It is unfortunate that you have had two unsuccessful short protocol cycles. Even though they failed, I am glad that you are still committed to the course and you want to have another short. It is also good that you are in contact with an expert who has recommended that you consider a donated egg going forward. Well, if I were you, I would jump straight to the donor egg. You see by the time the doctor recommended for the donor egg, he had noticed a problem with your eggs. It is just unfortunate that you are already on a donor sperm. So it may sound like you are adopting. The goodness is that you will be able to carry the pregnancy. You will also have a chance to feel the way pregnant women feel. This is an important aspect of any mother. It helps to create a bond between you and the child. I am also happy that you are already researching on clinics as well as treatment. It is true that the success of the protocol is dependent on many factors including the clinic and the experience of the doctor attending to you. Well, plenty of clinics in Europe are already offering the services. They are just as good as any other clinic you can think of in the US and Canada. The only difference is that it is cheaper to have the protocol in Europe than in the US. Just ensure that you check the success rate of the facilities in Europe before deciding the best one for you.
