Looking for some advice. After almost 6 years of trying with own eggs (low ovarian reserve) we have made the decision to move to donor eggs. We are looking at Northern Cyprus (1st choice) and possibly Spain (as it offers perfect match 360) I wondered if anyone would be kind enough to DM me / share with me clinics good or bad, the experiences you have had and any advice you would give me as I’m a little apprehensive about the whole process. Thank you so much 🥰🌼

Hi! I completely understand how you're feeling. We were in a very similar position after trying multiple times with our own eggs and facing low ovarian reserve too. Northern Cyprus ended up being the right choice for us, and after switching to donor eggs, we finally got our miracle baby. I’m now currently pregnant with our second DE miracle as well! I can only speak for our experience in Northern Cyprus, but I’d be happy to share more details with you. Let me PM you! xx
Hello please be aware that northern Cyprus is not part of EU therefore no European laws apply there if things go wrong. All the best 🙂 fingers crossed for you.
To be honest I was skeptical about doing ivf outside of the uk. If my UK consultant had not suggested it and suggested a clinic because it was linked to a local one, I probably would still be trying to work out if it was ok and what clinic to use it’s such a big decision with so many choices.
But he did. I went to Spain for Double donor ivf and I have a 7 month old son. It was not easy. He was attempt number 4, two miscarriages and one bfn.
The experience though was 100% positive. Even with the miscarriages, the clinic made me feel like they genuinely cared and I believe they did. Facilities were modern, clean and on par if not better than the UK.
I can’t comment on any other country or how to choose between them as I have only been to Spain and to one clinic in Spain.
There are plenty of people on here who have had success with clinics over seas and would recommend theirs the same way I would recommend mine.
I would suggest using these as a starter, contacting the clinics and getting a feel for what they offer, some will do guarantee packages but you pay more for these, some have connections with clinics in the UK etc which is very useful to have scans etc done in the UK and go with your gut after you have spoken to them.
I can DM you the name of the clinic I used in Spain.
