Firstly I hope I am allowed to post this pic as technically it could be classed as advertising. Apologies if I am breaking a rule!! My husband got this for me so that I could still enjoy a 'tipple' at the weekends. I highly recommend it for all you ladies who are not indulging in alcohol at the moment. It tastes just like a G&T :-) cheers 🥂

Oh yes!!! I've had this too!!!!! We've done a lot of research trying out alcohol free/very low alcohol drinks. This is nice!

I also like St Peters Without which is a stout - 0% but has a taste and texture that does the job of the real thing.

Asda has an A/F muscat which is in the same aisle as the schloer.

Morrisons have got a nice A/F Echo falls called Infusions

It says low alcohol ahem sorry... contains 0.5% vol. 😳🤫😁

in reply toMinchoo

Most of them do contain some alcohol even when they say alcohol free

0.5% isn't going to cause any harm, chill out and enjoy xx

Yes, I could read that on the can also. 0.5% is practically nothing. We probably ingest more alcohol spraying ourselves with perfume!!

I will still be enjoying mine at the weekend 😁

These are good too! Expensive but you get to indulge a bit. They also do a garden version xx

in reply toChoctastic

Does it taste like gin? Tesco do them too but was thinking that it wouldn't taste the same as a good old G&T lol

I've only tried the garden one and it tasted very 'green'. I recommend trying before you buy a bottle. Pizza express do it which is where I had it x

in reply toChoctastic

Might have get the hubby to treat me a pizza then 😉 x

Thanks for sharing all your research findings ladies :-) looking forward to trying some of them out :-)

I'm still scared of the low alcohol stuff as it's not no alcohol it's low alcohol.

This says 0.5% but I'm still worried even with the ones that are 0.05% - can anyone reassure me on these as the thought of any alcohol no matter how low concerns me

Up to you really waitingfor.

I had a sip of a glass of wine the other day and don't feel bad for it at all. So I would think a 0.5% would be ok.

Maybe not right before egg collection though 🙄

Thank you. I'm currently almost 7 weeks pregnant. As I've had scares recently I don't feel comfortable doing it but then I've heard there's more alcohol in fruit juices but not sure if that's true or not

Even baileys Haagen Dazs has a little alcohol in... they just have to put it on the label because of how the law works but it’s basically nothing. and the recommendation for pregnant ladies not to drink at all was apparently introduced because the chief medical officer realised too many women didn’t understand what 1-2 units per week (the previous limit) actually looked like and so were drinking more than they should. There’s not actually much evidence that small amounts of alcohol are harmful as far as I know. Nonetheless, if it will worry you, stick to squash I say! Or I like tonic water on its own... it feels special even without the gin.

Not what you're looking for?
