I hope you're right 🙏🏻😢

Hi

I think you should go for the scan. Lots of people on here say that they have discharge and some have bleeding right through their pregnancy? Sending you massive hugs xxx

If it goes away again and doesn't get heavy then we'll still go. Just scared we aren't going to make it to that point

You should go for your scan anyway. It’s helpful to talk to trained staff and find out more about what’s happening even if it is the worst. Xxx

I'm getting cramps now too 😢

It's completely understandable to have all these feelings. What did the clinic say about going for the scan? I would definitely go to your appointment. Whatever happens you will want to speak with medical professionals? Hopefully to put your mind at ease.

Try to rest up. Feet up, no making dinner, no cleaning, nothing. Just rest and get some sleep ahead of tomorrow xxx

I last spoke to my own clinic on Monday when I'd had the slight spotting Saturday and hadn't had any more. They couldn't get me in any earlier for a scan so we had to book a private scan for tomorrow. Hubby is meant to be out at Arsenal tonight so I might have no choice on making dinner :(

in reply toWaitingforourmiracle

Just rest as much as you can and try not to stress. Easier said than done. Any way you can cosy up on the sofa with our fav film and surround yourself with everything that makes you happy.

Good luck tomorrow xx

in reply toWaitingforourmiracle

I had spotting earlier this week and the clinic told me to just carry on and get back in touch if it turned bloody. I still think you look quite light. Nothing anyone can say will make you feel better until you get the scan results.

We are all really rooting for you xx

I had discharge like that, and it got thicker jelly like and sometimes brown. I’m now pregnant at 20 weeks with a healthy boy!

Waitingforourmiracle profile image
Waitingforourmiracle in reply toLexiiH17

Really? I had a tiny bit Saturday then have had tiny bits each day since Tuesday but it's seemed to just be one episode a day. It's so scary as I have no idea why this would be happening. I had a mmc last time I was pregnant so I'm just terrified.

Do you know roughly how far along you are?? I had it most days from 8weeks to 12 weeks.

I talked to the midwife about it and she said it could be a mixture or things. But unless it’s bright red/pink, heavy and you have pains not to worry!

I'll be exactly 6 weeks tomorrow

Hi Waitingforourmiracle. I would worry if it was bright red and filled a pad. For some reason lots of women get these spotty discharges just as the placenta is starting to form. Carry on resting when you can, and remember any spotting looks worse after a rest, as it collects and looks more when you stand up. Off you go for the scan tomorrow so you know what’s going on. We’re all keeping everything crossed for you. Diane

Waitingforourmiracle in reply toDianeArnold

Thank you Diane you are always so reassuring as are the other ladies here. Thankfully it's never transferred to the pads or liners I've been wearing - it's only ever been when I've wiped and then stops. Have been to the loo twice since and no further blood or pain. It's just such a scary time. I think I read a stat that only 20% of spotting in early pregnancies result in miscarriage but I can't find where I read that now - if that's true then it's a comfort to me

DianeArnold profile image
DianeArnoldPartnerNurseFertility Network UK in reply toWaitingforourmiracle

Hi. It’s definitely true. If you understand the mechanics of this, you have chorionic villi pushing through the developing placenta from you to supply it with blood, so it is often just due to that. Your cervix might not be “tightly closed” yet, which allows it to happen. Off to bed early and we’ll see what the scan says. Diane

Thank you Diane - I think the fear of losing two babies in less than a year just takes over when I see the blood. Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news

What times your scan tomorow misuss, 100% go and you will no either way I had spotting worse than this with my first pregnancy it was proper blood so I really don't think it's much to worry bout, it's prob tiny bits of blood then looks worse with the increased discharge pregnancy brings, I really hope all goes well for you tomorow and you can try an relax and enjoy it after that, will be thinking about you x

try not to panic, that still looks like implantation/uterus stretching to me. Only 1 more night to get through then hopefully your scan will put your mind at rest a little x

Thank you everyone. If we manage to get to that scan tomorrow and see baby and heartbeat I promise it will put my mind at rest so much. Your support these last few days has been invaluable to me xx

I don’t think you need to worry too much, I know you will as I was the same. Mine was much brighter red than that to start with. I had my scan today and all is fine, couldn’t be better at this stage so I guess we will never know what the spotting was all about. You must go for your scan tomorrow, I think unless it gets heavier and you get clots etc, there’s a good chance all is ok. Try to relax, I know it’s VERY hard x

Well I don't think this looks that bad! I havent been pregnant like you but I'm sure it would be more red....I really hope so!! Hoping, praying & wishing!!xx

If you look at my previous posts I had two massive bleeds that were bright red, clots and cramps and I’ve just had a baby girl.

Try to relax (easier said than done) and definitely go to your scan tomorrow because we were so shocked when they found a heartbeat xx

Waitingforourmiracle profile image

Thank you - did they say what caused your bleeds? Xx

Hi, please don't worry. My 1st pregnancy I had several bleeds, some bright red like a period and at other times some browny pink discharge. I was like you are now was going out of my mind with worry. I had an external examination at 8 weeks and they told me it was just cervical erosion and nothing to worry about and then later in my pregnancy I had a second internal examination due to the spotting and they discovered a polyp on my cervix which is harmless and due to increased hormones and that was what caused my spotting. I had a healthy baby daughter. I have been blessed to have fallen pregnant naturally this time and again I have spotting, nearly every day. I am only 11 weeks. When I asked my nurse about this she said there is just so much going on in that part of our bodies that some spotting isn't unusual, it can be implantation, slight erosion etc. But unless you have cramps and are filling a pad with blood then you are ok and not to panic. So enjoy that chinese takeaway tonight, relax and then tomorrow you will see that little heartbeat fluttering away. Good luck xx

in reply tolou79

Hey Lou, I am currently experiencing spotting like you described and have had 2 scans and all is well - and no bleeding visible around baby bean. I am wondering if I have cervical erosion - but I've had no internal examination. I'm guessing it's worth me mentioning at my next midwife appointment though - am I right in thinking they just leave it do it's thing though? Did you have any treatment? Huge congrats on your little girl, and your latest pregnancy xx

Please try to calm down, as someone else said that doesn’t look like much to me. I remember feeling exactly the same as you every time I wiped I was inspecting it and feeling it was all over. I’ll be thinking of you xx

Thinking of you today, I hope the scan goes well and you can breathe a sigh of relief xxx

Thank you ladies. Well scan Day has arrived and today I'll know if I'm still going to be a mummy. It's not until 3.15pm but no blood overnight or this morning so 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Good luck hun wishing you get some reassurance 💗🤗😘

Please try not to worry - so much easier said than done, I know. I really do know too as I'm currently going through the same thing, 5 incidents of spotting, the 5th being this morning, and bright red each time. I'm nearly 10 weeks now and the spotting started at 8 weeks.

I have had 2 scans though, 1st one private (as GP wouldn't refer me), and 2nd one at EPAC yesterday (I self-referred in the end). Both scans showed bean is going strong, great heartbeat, and growing loads - more than a cm in a week. No cause could be found for the bleeding.

I really do know how you feel as I have been going out of my mind, and have cried so much over the last 2 weeks, but your issues sound so much like mine and I'm sure you will be fine. I wonder if mine is down to cervical erosion - so I will ask my midwife about that next week. Yours could be too. Good luck today, huge hugs xxx

I’ve got everything crossed you see a lovely bean on that scan screen today!! Stay strong xx

So ready for this scan to be here now. Just had more pink spotting in mucus when I wiped. It's been about once a day since Tuesday and I just can't deal with this anymore - it crushes my heart a little every time I see it

When is it? Wishing you loads of luck xx
