Hello

Hi Sonia, I have the same and I asked my nurse if this would mean I would likely have early menopause. It did for me And she didn’t put a time frame on it. I’m 36 so wasn’t great news. However everyone is different. I would ask at your next appointment. Try not to worry about it as I’m sure your having to process enough at the moment. I’m going through my second cycle at the moment and just focusing on that. I’ll deal with the menopause when it comes . Good luck x
Hi Sonia, was your AMH tested? mine was 0.7 at 34 years old (June 2017) but am still having periods and ovulating even if a bit irregularly and producing few follicles (2 per cycle in average). When I was diagnosed as a premature ovarian insufficiency patient by nhs in May I was so scared to go to menopause immediately, then the private clinic doctor analysed my amh together with fsh (not superhigh/9.6) and told me that I am still ovulating and that I am not in menopause yet. In any case, don't lose hope. I can understand very well your fears and thoughts now and I am sending you positive vibes x
I díd not have my AMH tested. I am going to get a appointment in a fertility clínic next week.
I am only 27, i went to a normal gynecologist Check up, i have endometriosis and changed gynecologist, the new one díd ultrasound on me and told me i am fine, but have very little ovarian activity and very few eggs left and that i Would never be able to conceive by myself, i was very dissspointed and nervous when he told me that, and once in my house i panicked about early menopause and its consecuenced, as i am not sure if they will be able to give me hrt as i have endometriosis and i dont want to look old before time.
I wanted to have a baby too, buy the check up was not for that.
Hi Soniacheng. So sorry you have had such a scare. The scan can't tell you how many eggs you have left, and even if only a small amount of activity is noticed, we can usually stimulate them to retrieve enough eggs for IVF. I would think that having an AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) blood test will tell you loads, then get an appointment with a fertility specialist to discuss your options. Good luck! Diane
Sorry to hear the news was delivered to you in this way. Nothing is certain from just a scan and the dr will look at various results collectively , I also see you are young so that’s always on your side . Good luck xx
