2 out of 3! 😁

We’ve had the call, what a nervous wait! 2 out of 3 eggs fertilised. They’ve pencilled us in for ET Sunday but will call to see the quality before we go. They said their policy is to transfer on day 3, because of my age, 40? The clinic said it’s ok to have a glass or two of wine at this stage. We’ve got family visiting and thought I might unwind and celebrate with a glass. What’s everyone’s thoughts on this? I know they are safely in the lab now but don’t want to jeopardise anything? Xx

Hi Gemmy congrats on your two eggs. I was told only 1unit of alcohol per day during treatment but no idea whether this is due to conflicts with drugs pre or post collection. Is extended culture to blastocyst included in your treatment costs? I decided not to transfer at day 2 as it was included in mine.

Hi, thank you. I guess if I’m up to it a glass won’t do any harm. I’ll have a little google. We are NHS, not sure what we are entitled to? X

Thank you, I don’t think we can do any harm at this stage and deserve a break? X

I think so! They usually transfer early when there are only 2 embryos too....better back in mum that in the dish. They usually only take to day 5 if they are trying to pick a front runner to put it back.xx

Most people who get pregnant naturally are drinking for a while before they realise they're pregnant x

I just put a post up about wine lol, I have egg collection on Monday and thought a glass would taste live heaven before egg transfer so might have a glass on Tuesday night. I defo think we deserve it 😀 xxx

Same idea haha. Like Scarlett13 said, people drink weeks into their pregnancy when it’s unplanned. But do understand we go through a lot to try and conceive so don’t want to damage any chances. Xx

Enjoy and I'll be thinking about us all when I have mine xxx

I think embryologist said we could. They said they will discuss it on Sunday. X

They'e told me we can discuss it tomorrow before transfer to. I hadn't really thought about it as all way through I thought i would only have the one egg. I know doesn't give much better chance and there are risks of multiple births but I think I swaying to transferring 2 x

I’d kinda like twins as I’m 40 this year! And might get to old to try again! So don’t mind the risk of multiple although it can be harder to carry two healthy babies. I’ll just hope they do well over next 48 hrs. Good luck tomo x
