Low number doesn’t mean bad news....

Hi there,

I was feeling really down yesterday as we have only 4 eggs collected out of 7 follicles. All through the process the number seemed low. I’ve just had phone call from clinic and 3 out of 4 egg have fertilised!!!! I’m over the moon!!!! Hopefully they will stay nice and healthy ready for transfer on Monday!

It really is quality over quantity

Xx

Totally agree. I had 4 eggs, 3 fertilised and then 2 made it to blastocyst. I'm currently in the last month of pregnancy with the one that stuck :)

Wishing all the best with your embies!

Thanks. It wasnt the first round. Our fresh cycle last spring was unsuccessful, and my pregnancy is the result of our little frozen miracle. So the same batch of eggs. Is that considered the same round? Not sure but I'm so grateful every day. Hope this is your time!

We are in exactly the same position! Had low egg retrieval yesterday but had the phone call today to say they have all fertilised... now it’s the wait for Saturdays call and then (fingers crossed) transfer on Monday!

Hope you are feeling ok following yesterday’s procedure and the best of luck over the next few weeks xxx
