Help please!!!!😬

So we’ve got our donor eggs on ice just waiting for me to say go! We decided February would be best, let my husband detox after Christmas, however after struggling with my eggs not working, and feeling utterly redundant I finally feel like I’m ready to go. So my husband has agreed, and I should start my period soon (I’m currently a couple of days late, but I know she’s en route!) and another period is just making me realise how much I need to get on with this. I haven’t had a transfer since July, and that feels like a life time ago. So should I just go for it, or wait until next month?!?! Sorry I just don’t seem to be able to trust my own judgment! Xxx

Go with what you feel is best. I’m not patient and been waiting five weeks to have my period following another miscarriage but it’s finally here so I’m super excited to start my fresh cycle soon.

Good luck to you and whatever you decide it will be fine. Stay positive xx

Xxx here’s to 2018 🙏💕

It's great ur donor eggs are ready to go! I would say go with ur gut! If u feel pumped up and ready to take on ivf now then go for it! That fighting energy is surely a good thing to help j remain positive. If u feel more confident waiting then thats fine too! Do whatever makes u feel most comfortable 💕 xx

Thank you lovely, this past year has been so intense, and I threw myself into round after round, where as now I’ve totally lost the ability to make a decision!😂🤦🏼‍♀️xxx

I agree, go with your gut instinct but if you think your ready why not try this month. Im a massive over-thinker so I’ve kinda told myself that once I make a decision on this journey il stick to it. Good luck with whatever you decide xx

Go for it!! We have to wait till May - just had our consultation and tests earlier this month, and donor search hopefully about to start. By the time they line up her treatment and timing for our work holidays, we are working to 1st week in May for an FET. It feels like a lifetime away as we are ready to go now! Your hubby will be fine I’m sure and if you feel up for it then why wait x

Ah god the lack of control is awful isn’t it? I think the enforced waiting is the worse! I think you’re right, why bloody wait, 4 more weeks won’t make a jot of difference!! Hope you’re well lovely xxx

I say go for it, by the time you get to the stage of thawing your donor eggs to mix with your husband’s sperm he’ll be well detoxed from Christmas. Wishing you so much luck with it all. My donor eggs are being thawed this Tuesday and embryo transfer is scheduled for Friday. I can’t believe it’s actually happening. It’s taken us a year since our last failed cycle with my own eggs to get to this stage and like you , I was raring to go xx

Ah thank you xx , good luck sweets with your transfer 🤞🏻🤞🏻 keep us posted on how you get on, it’s just mad the whole thing isn’t it! Round 5 you think I’d be used to it, but this feels like a whole new chapter xx

Go with your gut, however saying that just go for it!! In for a penny!! xx 😘 😘

Haha! If only it was a pound!!! Xx

Amen to that!! 😘😘

How much does hubbie need to detox? To give it the best chance, I’d want my hubbie to be off smoking/alcohol and on preconception vits for as long as possible, so that the sperm were best possible quality, but it’s a balance to be found between that and the stress of waiting when you feel like the clock is ticking x

Not a huge amount, he’s not a massive drinker, just over indulged a little! He’s been taking most of his vitamins, but the drink thing he finds most offensive! Xx

I think men seem to find no alcohol even harder than women, tho my hubbie seems to have got used to it... mainly because he’s sick of ivf so he now thinks it will be worth it not to drink!

Or did you mean the proxeed drink?

I would just go for it! The little niggles about you own eggs kind of fade away and come back now and again but I found that once I'd started treatment they disappeared and didnt really think about the fact it was DE we were using, all I could focus on was that end goal!xx

Thank you lovely, I’m feeling so excited now, but bloody AF is late, it’s so annoying when you just want to get going! I think because we’d said originally February I felt like was doing something wrong moving forward🤦🏼‍♀️ I swear this journey has made me second guess everything. My counsellor tells me I need to take back control, so I suppose this is it!!

How are you doing? When will you be going again? Oh and out of interest how many eggs did you get from your donor? We only get 6 and in comparison to what you hope for with your own it doesn’t seem that many!! Xxx

Yes it does get exciting doesnt it! We got 10 mature eggs, 8 fertilised and we had 6 excellent quality 5 day blastocysts. So when you say you only get 6, is that allocated for you? Are you having to share the eggs with other people or is the donor only providing for you or is that just a guesstimation? I know what you mean that you expect a lot more. I think my highest amount with my OE was 9 however the quality of my eggs is crap and I was delighted to have 6 blastocysts. We have 4 left but having a hysteroscopy this week to check why Im having lining issues and to see if there is anything uderlying. The consultant was so confident that he wouldnt be seeing us again for a while that they want to do some investigations as I have never achieved a pregnancy....ever!xx

Oh god, it’s like bloody witchcraft I swear, I don’t get how people fall by accident, it’s a miracle the human race has got this far!!! Fingers crossed they will come up with a solution lovely xx So we get allocated 6 good frozen eggs, if she produced 12 for instance then the eggs would be shared/already have been, however if she got 11 they would either give them all to me, or perhaps only 6 were mature. As they’re frozen we can be sure, but now it relies on how many defrost as it were!😂 I think my highest amount was 10 fertilised, but again my quality is crap so it’s no use anyway😂😂 we also know that our donor has had children of her own which was important as I needed to know her eggs were good, because up until now we had no reason to think mine were shit! When we started IVF I was 33, and all the tests came back “fine”. Now I’m 35, 4 rounds down and turns out they were crap all along little buggers!!! Xxx

I totally know what you mean, Ive no idea how folk just "fall pregnant"....you're right bloody witchcaft! Ha ha ha😂

Ahhh I see, my clinic dont do egg sharing so we got all of our eggs from our donor and its all done fresh so a wee bit different to yours. Im the same as you, my lady has kids so proven fertility which is all good. I just need my flipping crap body to start playing ball and get pregnant. Really hoping they find something to fix with me at hysteroscopy....fingers crossed anyway! Keeping everything crossed for you, come on the elusive period....why is it they come when we dont want them and dont when we do want them!!😡😂 xx
