Hi ladies can anyone tell me the difference between semen analysis parameters and Semen analysis Morphology thank you

Hiya, I think parameters is to do with the volume of sperm in the semen sample and morphology is concerned with the size and shape of the sperm x

Parameters are I think the volume, concentration and motility rate, the fluid test of the sperms etc. while morphology plainly concerns the structure of the sperm. The parameters inhibit fertility in a physical way and most of them can be overcome by IUI - it's considered a lesser problem unless the count is terribly low. However, for morphological defects, at least 30% of the sperms need to be normal else ICSI+IVF is the ideal solution - it also gives the provision for genetic screening which is quite beneficial.

Don't worry much.. a new year brings new hopes and promises with it. Hopefully, everything will be alright. Being nervous, you can't really help that throughout the aided fertility process - but make sure to keep it within the normal limit and don't stress. WIsh you good luck for the fertility road ahead! Thank you so much had our first appointment today and it all went great next step is our treatment consultation so fingers crossed all is looking good at mo so happy positive now all the way xxx

I'm glad that everything went so well... now you have all the more reasons to be happy and hopeful. You being optimistic matters a lot in the whole process. Though not many mention it emotional stability comes with being happy and that helps in hormone balance .... which is so much needed for both conceiving and proper development of the baby throughout the gestation thereafter. Lovely thank you so much for your kind and helpful words I will def update you all through the process I'm on a short protocol wen do start after my Husband has had his op 1st February so March will be our starting date 😀 xxx
