Hi everyone i hope you are all having a great weekend. Im new very new here. My name is Rosie im 30 and i live in West Sussex. Like most of you I've been dreaming of becoming a parent . Its been 3 years only but i had 2 miscarriages, i have pcos, one damaged tube due to a laser treatment of HPV. 6 months going through blood works, hsg scan, hubby had his semen analysis done and luckily he is all good and his boys are well haha. I was sent to a Gp fertility specialists and now referred for an iVF through the NHS. Ive received a call that my funding hasbeen approved and I'm beyond excited and very emotional and stressed and everything π. Anybody can share experience and waiting times with the NHS? I can't wait and i really want to receive that call from the clinic i picked πππ
IVF with the NHS : Hi everyone i hope... - Fertility Network UK
IVF with the NHS
Welcome ππ» It shouldnβt be long now until you get your consultation appointment through, maybe a few weeks, hopefully sooner. Good luck with your cycle xx
Welcome!! This place is a great source of support!
When we got our NHS round approved, it was so quick! We had our nurse consultation within a week, got my meds a few days later and started that week when my period started. Best of luck ππΌ xx
Omg that sounds quite promising.
Hiw long did you wait for the approval? Which clinic did you go to? I might be asking too much but you know how is, all the excitement and anxiety πππππxxx
It was almost instantaneous after we met with the specialist. He said we needed it, there was no argument, asked us a few questions about our history and that was it, a week or so I think. I was surprised how quickly!
We used Leeds. Honestly, ask as many questions as you can, itβs quite a ride IVF! Xxx
Thank you so much. My fertility doctor sent the application for referral on the 18th or 19th of September and i received a call on the 21st asking me to choose a clinic. And now im thinking maybe i didn't hear correct maybe they didn't decide yet and just asked in case if i get approval. I didn't think i will be so emotional and stressed. All the feelings are so mixed and strange. β€β€β€β€β€
I live in West Sussex and once we got approval we waited less than a month for first consultation then started ivf on my next period xx
How exciting ππππ I never thought pcos will lead to ivf but here we are. Out of curiosity who was your fertility specialist and which clinic did you go for? Xx
I have PCOS as well but wasnβt bad enough to be a reason so we were unexplained. We chose Sussex Downs in Eastbourne but had most of the scan appointments at Goring Hall and just egg collection and transfer in Eastbourne xx
And congratulations for your lovely baby. Wishing you and your family life full of happiness π€π€π€π€xx
Hi ladies we are potentially going to be going for ivf too although am going to have to have surgery first to excise endometriosis from my bowel and ovaries we live in East Sussex so would be interested to know how you get on with your clinics, Good luck xx
Hii. For us it took some time till thr GP took us serious hah. I've been referred to a fertility specialists in March after a numberof blood tests. Had my first appointment in the beginning of June. Than some more tests, hsg scan and iy took some time for the hsg to come back. And then my doctor send the application forthe funding on yge 18th or 19th of September. On the 21st u received a phone call asking me to pick a clinic and now waiting. Its way yii exciting ππππ Good luck to you too hun and Will share experience once we start πxxx
Thanks lovely fingers crossed all goes well and thank you for sharing with me. We have had a lot of tests already although knowing the nhs theyβll probably make us redo a load of our tests anyway. Xxx
We've had so many tests as well. And by the time of our referral some were expired because they are valid for 6 months. But my doctor was really amazing she wanted to do all the tests needed so we will be able to start straight away once the referral goes through the clinic. We have a long journey ahead and will need lots of support. Xxx β€
Iβm here lol if you need an ear ππ».
Sounds like you found a good dr. Keeping everything crossed that you hear something soon xx
