You couldn’t make this up, I was hugging my husband in the kitchen and I said do you think I’ll be ok, in terms of making it to my 12 weeks safely and then it happened....
I felt a gush of wet and then I pulled my pyjama bottoms down to find blood everywhere. I’ve been to A and E and they’ve told me I have to go back in the morning to the early pregnancy unit to be scanned. Has anyone bled before, please tell me how it was? My blood is very red, no clots, quite heavy. I am distraught and feel like tomorrow is going to be bad news.
Hi. I had exactly the same. I had my 8 week scan last weds and the following day at work I had a massive bleed. Went back to the fertility clinic and they did a scan and baby was still there with a strong heartbeat. They said I would have some more bleeding which I did, which progressed into me passing two huge clots which we thought was a miscarriage. They had warned us what to look out for so went back to the unit two days later expecting the worst. Amazingly baby is still there and fighting hard. I know it’s easier said than done but try to stay positive. Bleeding at this point can be fairly common not that it makes it any easier when it happens. Take it easy and put your feet up.
This is so distressing. I will be praying for good news for you! My friend bled further on than 12 weeks and baby is here safe and sound but i dont know what type of blood it was, sorry i cant be of more help! So hard to stay positive but there is still hope 😘
I hope everything will be ok Chantelle. I just wanted to let you know I’ll be thinking of you. It seems some advice on here is that bleeding can be common in pregnancy so try not too worry.
I bled quite heavily at 7 weeks and then again at 14 weeks. The result is the tormenting , gorgeous baby I gave birth too was 29 last Sunday. Take care xxxx
This happened to me on Christmas Day. I went to a & e to be told they couldn’t scan me for another 2 days so we called my consultant who didn’t seem worried as there were no clots and I wasn’t in pain but said to come in the next day if it would help me relax. The only thing he did say was to stop one of my injections as it’s a blood thinner. At my scan I was delighted and relieved to see two healthy babies.
Sounds like the kind of thing that would happen to me. Wishing you all the best for your scan/ apt. Hope you're both ok and little one is hanging on xx

Its normal you will be ok soon, You can recover this loss soon. Bleeding too much is never good. You guys are doing well by visiting your doctor as soon as possible. It can cause some effects and difficulties in pregnancy. But i am sure doctor can easily solve your problem by completely examine your body. And prescribing you the best medicine they can. Your husband should be very supportive in this situation. You guys can make it. Best of luck.
Hi everyone.I have found that bleeding during your pregnancy is not all that uncommon. Probably 1 out of every 5. I bled horribly with my 1st daughter who is now a healthy 6-year-old and pretty bad with my 2nd daughter also. Your body is constantly changing and my thing, while I was pregnant, was my uterus was pushing on a blood vessel... Yes, even at 8 weeks. With my 2nd I was 6 weeks and went to the ER to find out what I pretty much already knew. No harm was done except major freaking on my part. Cramping is not uncommon either when it gets to the point of not being able to handle it then go. INSIST that something is wrong and you aren't leaving till they figure it out. I am now pregnant with my 4th and like you 8 weeks and I am already cramping in my lower part and getting myself prepared for the long trip ahead. Ease your mind, it will all be ok, just have a little faith!!!and try not to worry. This can be very normal. still, need to be careful and rest when you feel tired. good luck all.
Hey Chantelle89!!!! I am sorry for that. I will share one of my experience with you in short terms. My cousin’s wife has two kids already and she was again expecting. My cousin was out of station that time. It’s a difficult time for her. One day she got up and she saw too much bleeding. Bleeding was like someone has shed it. She was afraid to miss her kid. Her mother in law watched her serious condition and went to a clinic. She was continuously crying with a pain. But can you imagine that doctor took an hour and everything was clear. She advises her to take rest. Just lay down on the bed every time keeping your head side at a low level and lower half part at a high level. She did this for a month or more and she delivered a baby. Her baby was not as healthy as her previous one. Visit your doctor and consult with her. Thank you!!!!
