Evening all, I started my first cycle of Clomid this week. I am pleased to have finally got going with treatment as it feels like it's a positive step forward. However, I have struggled with some of the side effects. I have had hot flushes and felt quite tired but this has been nothing compared to some of the other side effects. I have had bad nausea / sickness. Really has put me off eating and I have had a few times where I have run to the toilet due to feeling the need to be sick. I have also had bad headaches. Tonight I have the worst headache yet and if it's there in the morning I may struggle going in to work. Anyone else suffer with side effects? How did you manage them? I'm just planning on soldiering on and hope it improves with time. Thanks everyone and sending love and BIG hugs to all ❤ xxx

Rough week
Good luck! I didn't get any side effects really but those show that it's working! I only took 50mg so maybe that's why!
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I hope you're doing ok? I have a scan tomorrow morning so will know then if I'm responding but I'm hoping the side effects are a good sign that I am. Take care and wishing you every success with your journey ❤ xxx
So sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time on clomid.
I would definitely ask at your scan tomorrow if there is anything you can do to try and help the side effects. You poor thing.
I was lucky when I was taking it (150mg) and only got the hot flushes. What dose are you on hun?
Xx
Sorry your having such a rough time on clomid, hopefully that’s a good sign though. I got the awful headaches and hot sweats, the feeling sick for me didn’t last after my first cycle. I would definitely have a chat with them today though, lots of luck for your scan xx
Thanks lovely, scan was early so already finished. She said I have been over stimulated and it's too high a risk this month to try. Why oh why will my body not do what's it's supposed to do? It's either not responding enough or responding too much. She said that could be why I have been feeling rubbish. But the good thing is I did respond so next month need to half dose and arrange for another scan and bloods. How are you doing? Xxx
Oh that’s a shame, I know it’s so frustrating when we feel let down by our bodies but take the positive that you’ve responded well. What dose are you on? Hopefully you’ll start to feel better soon to. I’m okay thanks got my scan on Wednesday to confirm whether I ovulate but I’m not holding out much hope xx
I do hope everything goes well for you. I'll be thinking of you. Let us know how things go. I've only been taking 50mg and been told to go down to 25mg. Must be super sensitive to it. I did mention the accidental extra Clomid taken on day 6 and the doctor said there were no concerns as said I would have reacted this way any way. Sending love and BIG hugs to you lovely ❤ xxx
