Given clean bill health after abnormal mammogram - thanks for all your support and good wishes

Hello everybody. Just to thank you all for your encouragement and support after my mammogram scare. I am under 50 but have them annually due to Mum and Auntie having had breast cancer. My first mammogram looked a bit worrying so they recalled me, but the repeat with a different machine and being squashed a bit more was absolutely fine, so that is really wonderful.

I got a bit worried about ivf and my breast cancer risk, but looked into it, and I don't think it will significantly add to my risk. There was a big study done in Holland, following up ladies having ivf for 20years or more afterward, and there was no extra apparent breast cancer risk. But some breast cancer experts are still worried about it. I have avoided the combined oral contraceptive pill all my life due to breast cancer risk, and I think that is still sensible for ladies over 40 years with a family history from my reading.. I won't use that pre my next embryo transfer but ask the clinic to put me on the lowest needed oestrogen etc to get my uterus lining ready.
