Hyserotopic Myoectomy

So today after 3 embryo transfers that have failed I found out that my fibroid is slightly indenting on my uterus and it needs to be removed. It's too large to all be removed so they are looking at a Hystopic Myoectomy ? Does anyone have experience with this I'm so nervous and now my IVF Jan 2018 has been cancelled 😩

Hi ICSIBaby,

I had an open Myomectomy in June as I had many large fibroids. I’m glad I had the surgery. Everything went well, I spent 5 days in hospital and now I’m recovering nicely.

I had my surgery done privately, as I was told I wouldn’t be able to have it done on the NHS. Without this surgery I still would be in agony and unable to even consider IVF.

I wish you the best with your surgery.
