Freaking out- brown discharge

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and this morning when I wiped there was brownish gunk. I'm just on my way to my first day at a new job so this is the last thing I need. Should I be worried? Should I go to the clinic? I did have sex this morning which apparently can cause it? I've got no other symptoms no cramps or anything like that. I'm so worried about loosing it 😞

Hi Bec-A. Try no to worry about this, as brown is old, so even after 5 weeks it can be down to a bit of old blood just coming away. As long as it is not bright red and fills a pad, it should soon settle down. Should it become a bit smelly, then there could be an infection. Obviously, pop and see your GP should this happen. Hope all soon returns to normal. Diane
