OHSS

I had egg collection on the 24th and 3dt on 27th. Was fine apart from some cramps. Then at the weekend I started with bloating and abdominal pain. Went to my clinic and they’ve said I have OHSS. It’s so uncomfortable and my belly is enormous. Anyone else had the same experience?

I want to let u know some got mild OHSS. I had OHSS moderate. 19oct ET. 20oct I got severe pain in my belly, fever and rush to A&E. After 6days I was discharged. After a few weeks back to A&E with fever and pain. 2times 2days at hospital. Last week again pain n fever and go back to hospital again for 5days. Just came back from hospital 2days ago. While I'm in hospital, my weight went up to 66 from 62. They had to drain the liquid n measure my belly to keep an eye out. I got a bit of difficult breathing. I was lucky water didn't go to my lungs. They give me antibiotics and pain killer at hospital so I was getting better. As soon as antibiotics stop, my pain n fever came back. Had very bad experience and didn't even want to go back to IVF and decided this is where it stop. Of course our 2perfect embryo is BFN. All I want to say is please listen to your body, take slow and be ready to see your clinic if pain get worse. Hope all OK for you and wish you the best.

It is not comfortable. I got bad bloating about 3days after my egg collection. Couldn’t sleep or get comfortable and had a large belly. It does ease though and even though I questioned it at first drinking lots and lots of water really does help. Clinic gave me some tablets for it too. Best wishes. Look after you. ☺️
