Hi folks, I’ve not been here much lately as have had my hands full - this little poppet has been keeping me pretty much occupied 24x7.
For those of you struggling, this is my little Lucy. She is 4 months old and in addition to being my perfect baby, she has Down’s Syndrome and a congenital heart defect, which is being repaired via open heart surgery next week.
We’ve had some ups and downs on our IVF journey but I wanted to post this because I know some of you get those nerve-wracking blood tests at 12 weeks that suggest something isn’t ‘normal’. Been there, done that and here to reassure you that if that turns out to be the case for you, there is still lots of happiness to be had and sleepless newborn parent nights to experience!
Best of luck and baby dust to everyone
Xx
