Hi everyone.
My partner and I have just had our first appointment at the clinic. We already have a 6year old son who I had clomid and ovulation monitoring to conceive.
The doctor is pretty positive that this will work again and doesn't think we'll need any other treatment (fingers crossed) but has said that we will have to pay £400 per cycle for the ovulation monitoring as we already have a son.
I probably sound very naive and I apologise if I am wrong but We were under the impression that if fertility issues can be treated with drugs such as clomid and no IVF was needed then treatment would be funded on the NHS regardless of previous children.
I have a friend who had the same treatment as me for both her pregnancies and didn't pay.
We're just a little confused that's all, we're back there next Thursday but don't want to look silly asking questions if we're wrong.
Thanks for any help. Xxx
