Cough & Cold Tips 🤒🤢🤒🤢

Girls can anyone give me any advice on what to take for a cough and cold? I’m just over 8 weeks pregnant I know I can have paracetamol but wondered if there’s anything else? Want to try and shift it ASAP as it’s giving me a right load of grief 😡

Hi Shanks_21. You could try some hot lemon and honey, that will soothe your throat. If your nose is bunged up, then an old-fashioned steam inhalation should help too. Put some vapour rub in boiling water and breathe the steam in with a towel over your head. A cold is not nice, so hope it soon shifts. Make sure you eat well too! Diane

I don’t know if this is allowed in pregnancy but def worth a check...

Fresh ingredients only; lots of ginger (finely chopped) manukau honey (one table spoon) and a good squeeze of lemon x

I think ginger, honey and lemon is also about the only thing you can have. There is a saline salt nasle spray I used to try and unblock my nose but it was pretty useless compared to my usual one. I hope it goes soon!
