Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has had the embryoscope and believe it to improve success rates for pregnancy?
Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has had the embryoscope and believe it to improve success rates for pregnancy?
I definitely 100% think it does
I had it round one, had 5 fertilised eggs. The embryologist phoned and already knew which one he was going to put back without using the scope.
When I asked about my scope he said he hadn't looked at it yet. Nice to get the pics though!
Maybe if I had more embryos then it would have been a benefit ? Xx
I am having NHS funded but only get one round. It costs £700 extra for the Embryoscope. I think we are gonna go for it as only heard positive things about it! xx
Yeah we were the same and paid £700
It didn't work for us and my friend who didn't pay for it had a successful round.
I suppose it doesn't guarantee success but more information is always good
I'm not opting for it this time but I'm thinking the embryo glue might be a good idea for us xx
I believe it can increase pregnancy rates by up to 20 per cent?
we had it and got a BFP but then miscarried. Who's to say if I'd have got a positive without it. Not cheap at £700 but we thought if we didn't go for it we would always wonder so no regrets. Good luck xx
Hi, having just completed my first ec, we decided on embryoscope as I firmly believe that not interfering with the initial stages of cell development would give our embryos a rare chance at normal development. It is way too early to tell as we have frozen the 2 that fertilised correctly. We will defo have embryoscope for the next 2 ec's....sorry, didn't really answer your question.
I had nothing extra on my first round which was nhs funded and it failed so the second round which we paid for we threw everything at it and had the embryo glue and scope and Im currently approaching 29 weeks pregnant now from one of those that they put in the scope so I defo think it helped with us x
I used it and had success with it. I guess I’ll never know whether I would have had success without it. I know when I got my updates I was only ever told how many cells/what grades and there was no mention of how they got there (one of the things the embryoscope is meant to be useful for us seeing how they got from A-B, did they follow the normal path) but I guess that could just mean that they all developed normally along the way. My clinic do recommend it though and I’m glad I did it as if it hadn’t worked I would always have wondered what if. Good luck!
My clinic recommend it because they don't have to change the atmosphere that your embryos are in by taking them out and looking at them. Makes sense to me.
We had embryoscope on our first round and was successful our son now 18 months and used it again for our 2nd cycle successful 24 weeks pregnant with non identical twins we paid £380 for the embryoscope x
We decided to go for it (paid for it as extra in a NHS funded fresh cycle). I'm not sure if it helped, but we decided to pay for it because we said it won't harm.
They told us we had 2 good embryos (grade A - top quality) and the following day they told us we've got one more (grade C). Were they able to get the last one via the embryoscope? Who knows!
We put one grade A first time but unfortunately we got a BFN. We then used the other grade A on a frozen cycle and we got a BFP but unfortunately it led to a missed miscarriage very early. This time, we used the last grade C and I'm 10w pregnant.
I would go for it if I had the money.
