Me again! Any of you opted to have embryoscope as an additional option. I am aware it costs extra but thinking of using it. Basically, it digitally monitors the embryos while they are in the lab which provides more info on how they are performing and also means they do not need to be removed from the incubator daily for monitoring.

Embryoscope?
I added it, I didn’t want to leave anything to chance so wanted them to be undisturbed
We chose not to have it on either fresh round but paid for the embryo glue. 1st time bfn with no frosties 2 time around BFP with 4 frosties. However i miscarried xx
What is embryo glue? Are you now on your 3rd round? Wishing you lots of luck! Xx
Yes I added it. Just gritted teeth and went for all the optional extras. Had a day 2 transfer in the end so they were only in there for a day and a half - pretty expensive for that short a time! Have my BFP now, but even for my last unsuccessful round I've got no regrets about adding any small extra chance of success x
Thanks Sarah, we will be going ahead with the embryoscope. The research I’ve done tells me it can increase our chances slightly. It’s been a toss up between embryoscope & endometrial scratch. On our first round given the lack of evidence I don’t feel it’s worth paying for the scratch. Will def consider it if we get to round 2! Xx
I used it. Like the others I didn’t want to disturb the embryos and also liked the fact that they could tell how the embryos got from point A to point B. We had 4 embryos get to blastocyst stage and at the time of transfer 1 was far better quality than the rest of them so how they got from A to B was never considered as far as I’m aware. We’ve used 3 of the 4 now. The best quality one was a BFP and we got a usb stick showing how it went from fertilisation to blasto which is quite cool. The other 2 were unsuccessful, 1 chemical and 1 BFN. Our consultant thinks it was due to embryo quality that they failed. So it seems that the embryoscope doesn’t have the ability identify poor quality embryos which won’t make it. But I do still think that leaving them undisturbed has to be beneficial for them and I will use it again if my final frostie isn’t successful and we have another fresh round. Good luck with your cycle.
We had embryoscope both times, I’d strongly recommend it. Saves the embryos being disturbed whilst they’re developing. Also, if for any reason the first time you use it equals a negative you’re consultant can use the images to perhaps give you some answers as to why. They can look at chromosomal defects etc. Very interesting x
I had nothing on my first round of ivf and the second round I had the embryo glue and embryscope. I defo feel it helped in seeing how the embryos developed and I now have a 4 month old baby girl from that second round x
