Friday 13th for my EC🤔

Should I be worried that my etc may be next Friday 13th. Not usually superstitious but of all the dates a. 😳

On a more serious note how have people found it? I will be put under completely which am not nervous about.

On a positive note will be glad to stop the injections as have not liked the lower back pain from it 😐. How have others found the menopur?

Thanks in advance. Hope all going ok for you all. Find it very supportive to read all your news and stories.thanks☺️

Try to think of it that the 13th is lucky for some and hopefully it will be for you!

I had sedation for EC but looking back now can't really remember feeling any pain or remembering what went on. I think the unknown is worse but it honestly is over so quick especially if your having anaesthetic. Easier said than done but try to relax, I didn't take menopur so can't comment on that. Wishing you lots of luck xx

Well I got married on Friday 13th a few years ago and it was the most perfect day 😄 I hope it all goes smoothly for you too.

I found EC to be pretty straightforward and sedation was lovely. I remember them telling me to start counting and then I woke up with my husband next to me and apparently I’d be twittering nonsense for the last 10 minutes! I had OHSS so I started to feel unwell a few days later but if they haven’t already said you’re at risk you should be fine.

Good luck xXx

Thanks both. Yep u right it is not necessarily unlucky ☺️ phew that all good to hear to re the egg collection. Yep sure it will be fine. As you said the thought it scarier than reality most times a😀. Thank you. Hope you both well x

Good luck! I’m sure the superstition is nothing to worry about at all. Positive thoughts. Didn’t have EC cos we used donor eggs so can’t help there XX

I've not had EC yet so can't advise on that. The 13th has always been lucky for me, I wouldn't worry about that :) Good luck x

Well blimey scrap what I just wrote. Had scan today with blood test and they found my hormones levels are getting too high. Therefore the egg collection is now booked for Monday rather than next Friday. Waa all happening knew it would but sooner than thought☺️ better this way and hope there are enough good follicles. 3 large and 13 medium size so hope be ok. Oh nervous but know all right. It will be ok 😳😐😏
