Ohss after egg retrieval

I had egg retrieval on Friday. Since then iv felt like rubbish. Freezing cold but really clammy face and burning cheeks. Absolutely no energy. Have also gained 7lb since collection the despite eating very little. I'm very bloated but just put that down to being prodded and poked too much. Should I be worried?

Hmmm sounds maybe more like illness like flu or a cold or fever?! But would be best to check with your clinic as these are not nice symptoms and you want to rule out OHSS asap! Or get help if it is. Make sure you are drinking lots of water and eating lots of protein, I've heard that helps. Good luck! X

I would give your clinic a ring as they have all of your other info too. It does sound like possible symptoms of ohss - the weight gain in particular is something to watch out for. After my ec in August (28 eggs) I spent a whole week in bed feeling utterly rubbish. I looked about 6 months pregnant and was horribly constipated. I was given cabergoline tablets for 8 days (I think) to help prevent/reduce the symptoms of ohss but it still took my body a good while to calm down. I spoke to nurses at my clinic whenever I was worried though. Hope you feel better soon xx

Hi Shannon1400. Do you think you might have caught a virus?? Take your temperature, and if it is up then try some paracetamol and see if that brings it down. rest when you can and continue to drink lots of water, just in case your ovaries are still a bit active. Hope you soon feel better. Diane

I had my collection Thursday 22 eggs. I feel really drained, tender & bloated. I've also had freezing cold feet. Were you given any medication for ohss? I have tablets for 8 days that I take before bed which puts me in a lovely deep sleep but give me freaky dreams lol Take paracetamol & drink plenty of water. If your worried call your clinic. Rest up, hopefully we'll both be back to normal soon x
