Hi, just a quick question - I've got a (much needed) hair appointment on Wednesday for a cut and blow dry and a half head of highlights. Am I ok to get highlights (my roots are really bad) with an embryo on board?? TIA x

The nurse at my clinic said it's perfectly fine to get your hair done her stance was hairdressers work with the dye all the time and have no issues when pregnant. I've got my ET tomorrow and have a well needed hair appointment booked for Thursday my roots are dyer!

Thanks so much - thats what I thought but just wanted to check as didn't want anything to jeopardise the 2ww. My hair is so bad at the moment I've left it far too long and greys are starting to show!!

My nurse said if you are asking the question you are putting it out there. I was booked into a furniture painting class and cancelled. I asked her advice and her words were she can't say go or not but the very fact I asked meant I was wondering about it so we felt best not to go..your call. You just don't want anything to make you wonder incase you get a bfn and blame yourself in anyway..good luck. I do know about the hair thought straight after our bfn I was off for a colour..looked like I had a stripey head😯xx

Hiya, my clinic was really funny about avoiding chemical smells...I wasn't even allowed to go near a petrol station so filling my car up was out 🙊...I'd definitely say it's up to you and whatever you feel comfortable with though! One tip about hair colouring though...I got mine done when down regging and the dye didn't take properly at first. My hairdresser couldn't work out why, but I mentioned the meds I was on and she said that may have affected it. She ended up reapplying it again a week later but it still didn't take as well as usual...might want to mention it to ur hairdresser incase they need to leave it on longer than usual xxx

I checked again with a different nurse after my ET today and she said it's perfectly fine to get your hair and nails done x
