I wondered what experiences people have had with a frozen embryo being transferred. After taken a few months off after a miscarriage, I've now started the process for our one frozen embryo being transferred. As we only have one frozen, I'm so anxious about the thawing of it. Has anyone else been through this that can offer some advice?
Our clinic assured us that the success rate for thaw is 8/9 times out of 10, so really quite good odds. We've had two fets and both thawed perfectly. I understand the apprehension and of course there's a risk to the embryo/s but it's a small one. Good luck π xx
I've just had my fet today!! We had to be at the clinic for 1.30 and at 11.30 the embryologist called to say it had thawed perfectly and was ready and just sitting waiting for me - at which point I burst into tears down the phone like a total lunatic!! But it's been a long process for us to finally get to this point so I was feeling a. It overwhelmed I think. (Cried again once I got there- lunatic!) π
Good luck with yours!! Please let us know how you get on xxxxx
Hello Friend. The freezing period does not alter the quality of the cryopreserved embryos, if they were treated correctly. So you can be calm about the quality of your embryo. You should also check the quality of your uterus. So that both are in optimal conditions.
It is a relatively quick process, but you must have patience since it requires the use of drugs to block the natural hormonal regulation of the woman.
Just wanted to say good luck. We had two thawed and transferred and one of those is having a nap right now, my one year old. We are thinking about doing it all again in the next couple of months. We have one left.
I had 2 frozen already, first didn't go through with 1 egg, second was a positive with 2eggs (7wweks pregnant now π). Just take it easy on you, rest as much as you can, my medication was increased so felling always a bit bloated and tired and emotional. So far so good.
Think positive but don't think to much (know it's to much to ask but it's worthy)
