Folic Acid - 5mg

Hello ladies

Can anyone help? I'm meant to be taking 5mg of folic acid. Where can I get this from? GP?

You can't get it over the counter GP will prescribe it for you if it's required as part of your treatment xx

It needs to be prescribed, either by your GP or fertility clinic, whichever told you to take it should be able to give you a repeat prescription x

Sorry to poke my nose in! Just double check the dosage on the ingredients, I was told that it was prescription only medication by clinic (but hey I could be wrong!) 😂

Tesco, Asda. any supermarket around 90p a vitamin tub x

they are not strong enough if your clinic want you to have 5mg x

just checked my clinic (Cyprus) want me to take 5mg of folic acid and the UK supermarket are not strong enough?! someone has said its like 12 of our UK normal tablets a day? can anyone confirm??

Yes. I wasn't told the same thing yester by my clinic in Poland. Stupidity I forgot to get it from Poland when I was der yesterday. So now I'll try see my gp

Yep go to the GP, I've taken 5mg for years due to my epilepsy medication. Might be worth getting your clinic to email confirming that you need to take it at that dosage xx
