Hi

Silly question and I think I'm nearly out anyway but just in case I wanted to ask,

I googled and they say no because msg is used!

Just that i can't be arsed to cool and fancied it,

If there is a slim chance that I'm still in o didn't wanna eat it if I shouldn't,

Was only going to have chicken noodles

Thanks in advance xx

Omg I wouldn't even have thought about stuff like that! Can't advise if it's safe or not, I would have had one without even thinking of it xx

lol I've thought of everything and googled Everything, prawns being the main one and cheesecake my favourite but I've given them up for now lol,

As I'm confused about it, xx

If you are pregnant, your blood supply isn't connected to the foetus yet, so I don't think you'd affect anything this early on x

Do what feels good, that's more important right now x

Thanks for the reply,

I'm sure I'm out, I think it's more American

What seems good is nice chicken chow mien lol but maybe I shouldn't and maybe have it Tuesday after test day xx

I had it and didn't hardly eat it as I got it in my head that it wasn't that nice, lol xx

That's a shame. I'm glad someone enjoyed it though! 😂 xx

Leesalou in reply toTugsgirl

He certainly did and hubby enjoyed his,

Xx

I wouldn't worry too much, it's only a chow mien. Yes, its not the most nutritious and msg is awful stuff, but Im sure you've been really good - it gets so boring doesn't it.

Or you could wait a few days xx

I had it but hardly ate it as i got it in my head it wasn't that nice lol, my dog enjoyed the chicken lol xx

in reply toLeesalou

Ah bless you.. I tend to do that when I have chinese. Always feel unsatisfied after and the soy source flares my endo. It honestly won't make any difference so just don't worry about it.

Glad your dog got the doggie bag :-)

I have to say, when I read your post it made me really fancy a veggie chow mien. xxx

I've been wanted one since the start of 2ww and I've been debating it then it wasn't even that nice.

He loves his human food his one spoilt dog 🐶 xx

I thought MSG was prohibited in the EU these days?

Leesalou profile image
Leesalou in reply toGueritarubia

I think when I googled it was American people answering, so I'm guessing it's used a lot out there.

I've never heard of it before I googled can you eat Chinese in 2ww lol

My google history for these 2 ww is probably worlds longest history and bizarre questions lol x

in reply toLeesalou

American food is not good. I actually avoid going there because of it, despite having family there. Some of the trendy hubs are okay where you can get organic, but my oh my - their products are so heavily processed and chemically contaminated. Let's hope Brexit doesn't mean imports of US food.. but that's another topic. lol

I've been eating lots of organic food and given up lots of things I used to eat lol,

I've never ever fancied America,

Xx

I lived in the US twice and on both occasions gained a stone (and two bra cup sizes!) even though my eating patterns didn't change. That's just all the crap in the food, pesticides, hormones. And I used to buy as much organic as I could, imagine! On both occasions, moving back to Europe took the extra kg away without making an effort, incl the inflated breasts. Quite scary!

in reply toLeesalou

we drive ourselves crazy during this process, don't we! xx

Certainly do cx

in reply toGueritarubia

Be good if it is.. I'm not sure though, would be interested to find out.

Hope no one here is eating egg sandwiches from our supermarkets, jese, that was a shocker of a mess up.

How is your pregnancy going?xx

Gueritarubia profile image
Gueritarubia in reply to

All good, thanks! Had a scare at 15.5 weeks when I started bleeding but had two scans since and all good. 18 weeks today! We're having a little girl :-) How are you?

in reply toGueritarubia

I have a little boy from IVF 1. A miracle. Trying for sibling but do not hold much realistic hope.

I had a scare at 20 weeks, was still getting sick (from HG) and on day of my 20 wk scan I got sick so strongly that we thought i had lost some of my waters - 3 huge gushes. Went to hospital but all was deemed ok. Was very scary.. Otherwise, other than HG, SPD and that 20 wk scare, the actual pregnancy itself was very healthy.

Fingers crossed for another little miracle!

How wonderful congrats. xx

So what I'm trying to say is: Chinese should be safe then, even if MSG is dubious

You have to make sure if any bean sprouts were used they are cooked thoroughly due to the food poisoning risk.

Leesalou profile image
Leesalou in reply toemmab178

Thanks I never new that my mum eats them raw in her salads, when ever I cook them there defiantly cooked as I don't like them crunchy lol

Tugsgirl profile image

I never knew that either 🤷‍♀️ xx

I didn't know till I was searching for them in every supermarket as I was doing a stirfry and they said they'd been removed due to a food poisoning scare. Think it wad e coli or salmonella

Tugsgirl profile image
Tugsgirl in reply toemmab178

I don't even know how that's possible?? It's a bean sprout! 🤷‍♀️ I believe you, just shocked 😳 xx

Does that apply to curry as well?!...I hadn't even thought about that! Just been drinking gallons of water, milk and cut out caffeine! (And alcohol of course!) 😳 but haven't really changed my diet as normally pretty healthy! They only told me to avoid Vit A and liver which I wouldn't eat anyway urghhhh and oily fish x

Leesalou profile image
Leesalou in reply toNickie17

I haven't a clue I don't eat curry.

But my sister when she was pregnant did, and I was speaking to them both they just said eat healthy and don't eat raw/under cooked eggs, shellfish swordfish and shark and liver. Not that I'd either eat swordfish or shark lol, and liver yuck,

I've googled so much and if I went with google I'd be eating nothing lol xx

Nickie17 profile image
Nickie17 in reply toLeesalou

Dam I really fancied shark and chips as well!...😂
