did I dream I would be writing this this morning! NEVER!
We did it. Despite zero symptoms and a heavy dose of fatalism on my part, we got our first ever BFP this morning. I still cannot believe it. I was so sure it hadn't worked, that I peed into a cup and told my husband to do the test for me as I didn't want to even look at yet another negative!
Well, he came and sat down on the bed next to me and I said :"I don't want to see it" and he said "Oh yes you do!" and shoved the test stick under my nose. Well...I pretty much went hysterical for about 5 minutes...I cried and cried from sheer joy and kept saying "I don't believe it!".
I would never have survived this ridiculously hard process without the love and care showered on me by all the incredible women on this forum. I cannot thank you enough for this.
It is VERY early days still and we don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but just for today, we are allowing ourselves to feel pure bliss xxx

Hi CountryCat. Well done both of you! Sooo pleased for you. When you come back down to earth, speak to your clinic/GP about booking your first scan at 6-7 weeks, so you can get to meet your little "bean". Fabulous start to the week. Diane
OH MY GOD! Wonderful news. Oh countycat I'm so happy for you! My sister also had no symptoms when she conceivedβ my niece after TTC for over a year. Wishing the very best with the pregnancy- you really deserve this so much. Yes this site is an amazing community of wonderful people- I'd be lost without it. Congratulations. Enjoy ππππ x
Oh my goodness! Ive been waiting to hear from you today! Im sooooo glad and happy that you got good news! Absoutely truly delighted for you both!! Congratulations!!xx
Well that gave me goosebumps and brought a tear to my eye - I could visualise that whole scene and can only imagine the joy - congratulations and good luck for the rest of your pregnancy xxx
Wahooo!!!! That is great news CountryCat!!! So pleased for you. Well done you clever thing. Just goes to show positivity isn't the be all and end all. Enjoy every moment of happiness this brings you both. Sending hugs x
Huge congrats. Amazing news. Hope the wait for your scan doesn't drag too much! It's amazing to see your little bean for the first time. Especially when you had given up hope of it ever happening xx
I was a bit shocked when the midwife said I would only be scanned at 12 weeks for the first time! We weren't happy with that so are having a private scan at 8 weeks...not patient enough to wait that long!! Thanks so much for the kind words xxx
We booked a private scan too as couldn't wait til 12 weeks. Worth every penny! 8 weeks is a good point too as more to see than at 6 weeks, and much less chance of miscarriage following a positive 8 week scan. Did give us a lot of reassurance xx
I've never been a fan of eggs benedict but for you, I'll make an exception!! Thrilled to read your news, am so chuffed for you and you so deserve to have a little ray of happiness shining right down on you! Appreciate it's v early days, but here's to many more happy weeks and months ahead for you & hubbie. I'm embarking on donor treatment soon and there's been some great success stories recently which have really boosted me up and given me hope in what has been very dark times. Hopefully the success stories will keep on spreading for more lovely ladies out there. Big hugs and huge congrats...you only went and did it!!! π
I wish you all the best with your treatment. Any form of IVF is stressful, anxious, tiring and hard, BUT I cannot fault my clinic...they have been superb and they made the whole process uncomplicated and simple. I really hope that your experience is the same and that there will be some life-changing news at the end of it for you. I will watch the boards for updates. Good luck xxx

I know this is old, and I've just seen your scan thread, but I was interested in seeing your story and this just made me well up over my lunch. It gives me hope. Congrats again. Xx
