Wat are the common and special causes of ectopic pregnency

Often it just happens and no-one knows why.

But anything that can damage the tubes can cause the fertilised egg to get 'stuck' on its way down the tube and so cause an ectopic pregnancy. Eg endometriosis, previous infection Eg damage from chlamydia, previous surgery and even a previous ectopic.

I am not an expert, but from what I know chromosomal aneuploidy might be one of the reasons of ep or mcs, particularly during the 1st trimester. Women who have experienced cp or mcs are usually recommended doing additional tests e.g. karyotyping. If genetics is the issue, PGS NGS is worth considering.
