Should I be worried?

On my way to the clinic for my first scan to find out if I can start my first cycle. Can't help feeling scared...terrified if I'm honest. I've been told that I have a low ovarian reserve and AMH for my age on top of that my period has finished early. This has never happened to me before. Should I be worried?

No don't be worried. There could be a range of reasons for a shorter bleed. When I improved my diet and stopped using tampons, my periods got shorter. Let them scan you and see what's going on. If there is anything I've learned through this process, it's that my cycles can and will vary. This cycle for example I've started to have cramping mid cycle and have the feeling of a full uterus. I've never had that before; I'm sure there's a reason for it. I'm thinking it's my acupuncture as he's been trying to improve my blood flow. Anyway, all the best for your scan. Take each scan and appointment as they come and remember that whilst you can help by having a good diet, exercising moderately and trying to give yourself rest times, there really isn't much more you can do. You have to put your hopes into the science behind the process, your body being in the right place at a given time and that when your embryos are formed the Ines they put back are genetically strong. Thank you so much. Unfortunately it wasn't great news. Only two follicles on my right side (one of them too small) and my left side is quiet. Devastated. I had to a blood to check Progesterone levels. If she's happy with them, she give me a call and give the go ahead to start with the medication. I'm trying hard to keep positive but I can't stop crying. I can't work out why this is happening to me

I'm sorry it didn't go well for you today. I know it's hard. I had a remaining follicle shell during my first cycle so they postponed me by a month. Try to just take each step at a time. Maybe this month isn't your month but next month could be. To be honest it's better to know if things aren't quite right for this cycle because then you're not losing out on a cycle. Give yourself time to feel disappointed and give yourself some nice treats. Sending you a big hug. xxx
