Back to you lovelies for some transfer advice...

So some of you may know that my clinic made a bit of a cock up and didn't advise me to take my progesterone 5 days prior to transfer. Transfer was meant to take place on day 20, however it turned out that they had defrosted my expanded blastocyst and not my hatching ones which were the ones I wanted as well... anyways I had to be taken to day 25.

So day 25 2 hatching embryos were popped in, clinic didn't charge us for our treatment which was good, some people could say that's the least they could do, however the lady who made the mistake looked so upset that we just said that we all make mistakes as we are only human!

My concern now is that I am day 27 of my cycle today and AF should in theory arrive tomorrow. My clinic said that they can take woman longer than the normal 19 or 20 days if they want to thicken the lining further for example.

I have woken with very dull cramps but very dull, had the usual pings and twinges after ET and yesterday but sometimes it could be trapped wind. According to my last cycle diary I had cramps on day 27 and brown discharge, I don't have any discharge this morning, also sorry for tmi but I am a little watery. I know the pessaseries cause the creamy variety but I am just a little more ahem..wet this time.

Any comments would be welcome, does anyone know of delayed ET or 2dp cramps.

Xxx

I'm no expert but I think pessaries should help keep your periods at bay (positive or negative result).

I know some people do bleed but I think the idea is that they should prevent it.

I did bleed at 7dp5dt with my first fresh cycle and it was a chemical pregnancy. I had a chemical pregnancy again with second attempt which was FET but had no bleed at all until about 2/3 days after I stopped the pessariess so by this point it was cycle day 46 or something. Hope this makes sense.

Basically try not to worry 🙂 Your embryos are where they should be and the pessaries should prevent anything happening before your OTD. Remember spotting can be very common so don't panic if you have a little. Cramping is also very common and period like symptoms.

Wishing you lots of luck for a BFP xxx

Thank you so much. I was worried because on my last fresh cycle I came on my period on my due date which was 8 days past transfer.

I think as you say they are in there and they can only do what they can do.

Really appreciate your reassurance. Xxx
