What's everyone's thoughts on embryo glue and intralepids? Would you recommend either? Or are there any other things worth trying? I'm on Day 7 Stims so I'm too late to try an endometrial scratch. I feel like I'll try anything in the hope of a BFP! I have my second scan tomorrow, so hoping for some mature follicles! 🙏🤞😇

Pick your brain

I didn't have either (not an option where I am) and am pregnant after the first transfer. So clearly it's possible without
I've just come across these too and looking for some more information, I don't start stims for another 3 weeks... I'll be asking when I see the nurse next week x
re embryoglue....I have discussed it with consultants and embryologists at my last clinic and my current one, and all thought it was not worth doing, no evidence it worked. They said they would definitely recommend it if they thought it worked! I also went to the Fertility Show, where there was a panel discussion with three consultants there, all said they did not think it worth adding on. I did try it on my first cycle however. The embryologists from my first clinic, said they kept record of patients who tried it, and those who didn't, and from their own audit they saw no difference in success rates either. I've decided not to add it on since.
re intralipids
My personal opinion is... no evidence, expensive... and dangerous!
I had intra lipids for my 3rd cycle, but only after I'd been tested for immune issues and found to have high killer cells. Our consultant said not strong evidence, but they had had some local success with repeated implantation failures. As it's new, it is possible it could cause harm as well as benefit, though no evidence of harm at present. We tried it as a change as had had 3 failed transfers by that point. Ended in bfn then fell pregnant naturally without any of the meds! Was quite pricey too at about £350 a transfusion - 3 needed if you fall pregnant. Was on other meds alongside it too. Would recommend having a proper consultation before deciding to try it so you can work out all the pros and cons for you xxx
I didn't have any of the add ons after watching the panorama documentary about these add ons and there being no evidence that they work. I then asked my clinic about it and mentioned that I'd seen the documentary and they agreed that there was no evidence to say it increased the chances of it working. So we had nothing additional but I got a bfp (although sadly lost it by 7 week scan and had my surgery yesterday)
If you can find the documentary on iplayer or YouTube I'd recommend watching it before making your decision.
