Hurray, that's great news!! Personally I would want to take the day off work, especially if you're exhausted xxx
Great news! ππ And yes take the day off work to put your feet up and relax!! The tension over the last few days sounds like it would do you the world of good! π
Work will always be there and nothing will change when you go back the following day! Selfish altruism!!
Fabulous news! I would take the day off especially if you're shattered. All this waiting for phone calls and updates is mentally draining so take some rest if you can!xx
Fabulous!!! And definitely take the day off work - I'm only feeling normal today the day after. The emotional highs and lows are exhausting, you need to rest! xx
I didnt tell anyone at work and took time off for EC.i dont want my boss wondering why i kerp disappearing from work.last cycle everyone was constantly asking me how it went and it was horrible having to announce that ivf didnt work.im just keeping things to myself and only close friends and family.
Another thing that you may or may not feel helpful- when the people who know about my ivf ask how it's going, I politely but firmly say, "thank you so much for being so supportive, we really appreciate it. If the cycle works we will tell you at twelve weeks like a normal pregnancy, hope you don't mind but we don't want to have to do a 'we're not pregnant!' announcement." When I put it like this, most people are really understanding, I think it helps them to realise how it might feel from your perspective and what "letting them know how it's going" will actually mean in practice.
Fabulous news that your little embryo is doing well. The procedure is nothing like EC and you *could* go back to work if you want to, but personally I felt drained after (I think from the emotions of it all) and spent the afternoon on the sofa. Entirely your personal call though, the clinic advised me I could go back to normal straight away just no heavy lifting. Good luck! π€

Yeah i remember it from last cycle .it was done in 10 minutes and i went home to relax for two weeks .thanks i will juamst think about it some more
That's great news, I'm really pleased for you that you're going to make it to day 5.
I had my ET today, and my clinic, which is usually super-organised, was running late so bear in mind that might be a problem.
If you decide to have the day off, could you say to your boss that you have an infertility related appointment when you ask for the day's leave but not specify what the appointment is so they won't know it's definitely IVF? Most people don't know enough about the process to need/want to know any more about that.
Haha thats definitely an idea.it will make him uncomfortable and he will say yes right away.im glad you ET went well.lets just hope the time factor doesnt affect anything .all the best with your embryo.its right where it belongs.
Great news πfingers crossed it's happy ever after for you xx
Great news re the progress I had my transfer yesterday and after waiting a couple of hours dancing around busting for the loo then the emotion of seeing it had developed to 8 cells from 4 (it was 4 when they called me) I was just emotionally shattered and I went for lunch after then fell asleep on the couch. I would have taken the day off personally if it was a work day, I was over an hour passed my apointment time too so it's hard to know when you'll be out xx
