So I thought i would put in a wee update and hope for some tips. Had my ec on Tuesday, I only had 4 eggs and was so disappointed. Rang on Wednesday only 3 was mature enough for injecting and 2 out of the 3 fertilised. So they planned a 3dt for this morning. I was a nervous wreck they wouldn't make it until today but went this morning and one was a 7 cell and one a 6 cell. He said the 7 cell was classed as a top quality but 6 cell was good too. He mentioned figures of 4.4 and a 3.4.... does that make sense to anyone? Anyway my two wee fighters were transferred and I'm officially on my 2ww. Any tips for foods or anything to do or not to do over next few weeks? Or any successes of 3dt's? Xx

2 little embies
Hi Littleflower82. Well, at least your little embies are back inside you where they belong. Try not to do any lifting or strenuous exercise. Otherwise, live life as normally as you can while you are waiting to test. A good diet to have at this time consists of variety, however, I have listed some of the “good” things to have: Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. Cut right down or right out – alcohol and smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid! Hope this helps and all the best.
