EC Friday 😊

final scan today before EC on Fri morning and still only 2 sizeable follicles so doesn't look like the rest are going to catch up sadly. Bit disappointed but just got to bear in mind it's quality over quantity. Perhaps at 40 my age goes against me as nurse said Miss Average gets 10. Must stay positive! Good luck to everyone going through this and hope for lots more BFPs xx

it is definitely quality over quantity! there is no use in 40 egg cells of a poor quality. do you agree? I know that for example in my dr transfer more than 2 embryos to make pregnancy chances higher but I for once still think that the main secret of those success rates lies in the quality of transferred embryos!

Good luck for Friday Louise, two good ones better than none and you really have tried everything to boost the others so hopefully that will give you some comfort. How are you feeling overall? I remember being so bloated at this stage on our fresh cycle! Xxx

Haha yes I was exactly the same! I was in a lot of pain after EC as they couldn't collect from the left ovary. Take it easy and keep drinking loads of water! I'm doing good thanks, oestrogen has kicked in now, my skin has broken out terribly the last couple of days... I was enjoying a few weeks without any spots!! Xxx

All the best Louise it was not a good procedure for me today but they collected 8 and got 14 eggs so you might have some doubles in there like me xx

Just wanted to wish you luck for egg collection. I know how hard it is to have a low number of follicles during stims when you see others in double figures, but I've seen plenty on here get positives with low follicle numbers, so stay as positive as you can. Best wishes for Friday xx

I 100% believe in quality, I had 3 follicles and just had the 1 egg that fertilised and I got a BFP! so stay positive it just takes the 1 xx

Hopefully my post can give you a little hope. I'm 38 & was told at my scan on Monday that only 3 follicles were of good size & others still had a long way to go. 😏

I done my booster injection Monday night, im just back from my EC this afternoon & they managed to collect 7 🤗

All over 17mm & some 20-21mm. So please don't feel disheartened as the next few days could change aswel for you.

I hope your EC goes well & just remember quality over quantity. Good luck 😇😇 xx

Things can change between now and then so there may be more than u think you will get and as long as they are quality thats the most important thing.

I had 11 in my last collection with only 2 making a transfer. Have done 4 cycles now and quality was defo better on the cycles I got least eggs.
