I see you're a teacher too! Just wondering how you get on with the stress and workload during this whole thing and how you get on with doing the standing up, sitting down, moving, bending etc in class when going through treatment?

Hi! Yea am a secondary teacher and a head of year.

I struggled in November with my cycle. Slt who knew were great and going to apps was all fine. I was quite emotional. Also my school is tough and kids are boisterous and some have no idea of space.

I asked to be taken off duties then which I was and I kept very much to my room. I only took EC, ET plus 3 days off in the 2ww and it was so difficult. I'm looking at cycle 2 beginning in easter holidays but all else will probably fall when we go back so I am 100% looking to get signed off by my gp. Workload and stress there is bad as it is in any school.

I just had my endometrial scratch yesterday as taking part in a trial for first time IVF patients. I am due to begin antagonist protocol around 4-6th March.

I'm a year 2 teacher so lots of moving around, sitting down, standing up etc etc. It's the standing and talking all day that's hard too when you might just want to go in a corner and not speak to anyone. My school have been fantastic but I'm starting to worry about if I'll need to take a longer time off. It seems that people realise after their first treatment to change things on their next one, so I don't know whether to bite the bullet and take the time off first time around?!! But I don't want to let me school down! So many decisions!

Starting at Easter sounds like a great idea as at least you get those first two weeks off! 🤞🏻 For everything for you!
