Ccg approved treatment

In my letter of approval it says i am entitled to one cycle of ivf/icsi...it that only one fresh and that's it, or one fresh and one frozen? Thank you ladies xx

I think it's just one fresh..! However we've luckily got funding too and they did say that they pay for a year if we get any embryos to freeze which is brilliant! I think it's different in every case jid just give your clinic a ring Xxx

Hi maria, my understanding was that one round would be everything up to egg collection plus the transfer of any embryos (fresh or frozen) until all your embryos have been used. Don't know if that differs elsewhere!

I didn't know that I thought it was just the fresh cycle so does it include fet too? Xxx

Ours does. My husband are on our second - and last - ICSI cycle, and the specialist overseeing our treatment has decided to up my dose of the stimulant hormone and give me 12 days taking it rather than 10 to give us the best possible chance of having plenty of follicles/eggs, partly because any embryos we freeze (if we're lucky! enough for that to happen) and the transfer of those embryos are part of this cycle and included in our funding.

Where are you Maria, as it varies depending where you are. One cycle for us definitely didn’t include all frozen transfers. It’s the treatment cycle, EC and one transfer and that’s it.

That's great I didn't realise that we've got 2 funded round I just thought it would just fund a fresh cycle as one and a frozen as another! Best of luck with your cycle xx

Our treatment says one cycle of IVF, apparently that includes a fresh round plus 2 frozen cycles if there are any embryos left.
