Lower back pain with microgynon 30?

Hey all,

Has anyone had lower back pain with microgynon 30? I had a quick look online but couldn't see much about it.

I was on this for years before although have been off it for about 3 years now. I've been put back on this for a short period before start my IVF treatment but have had really bad lower back pain since. Is this normal/common?

I'm not keen on taking pain relief so won't unless I really had to but it's just a bit annoying have such a sore lower back everyday.

Thanks x

Hey Amanda

I know each cycle I've had heavy lower back pain, figured it was the ovaries growing with all the eggs, fingers crossed it eases off for you. Enjoy a lovely bath not as after et they aren't allowed💝

Thanks for your reply. I might try a nice hot bath 😊

I'm not looking forward to the back pain from injections if this is what it's like just being on mycrogynon lol 😔 xxx

Hey

Not nice is it? I just found the closer it got to ec the more bloated and uncomfortable I got, like sitting in a bruise.

I love a hot bath with lavender💕life's little pleasures eh. Oh and chocolate with a decaf cup of tea always welcome💓

Hang in there honey xx

Hi Amanda86. Not really heard of anyone suffering with low back pain due to taking Mycrogynon 30. They do warn about possibility of blood clots, so always make sure you are mobile. Back ache caused by muscular problems, should be treated by keeping mobile too, not resting too much. Obviously, should it persist you need to see your GP for a correct diagnosis. I wouldn't worry too much about taking some paracetamol, but that is your choice. i do hope you soon feel better. Diane

Thanks Diane.

It's very strange. It's not something I had when previously on this but it definitely only started after I started taking it again. Luckily I'm only on this until the 30th so I'm sure I can bare this until then 😊 xxx

Hi Amanda86. I was curious about this, and have been speaking to a local consultant specialist in IVF, and he has only ever heard of one lady getting a nasty backache, but couldn't give a reason for it. Thank goodness you only need to be on it for another week! Take care and perhaps try some of the remedies the others have suggested. Good luck! Diane
