Egg Retrieval tomorrow 😬😬

12 hours and counting... It's happening! It felt like an eternity of testing and referrals and appointments with the NHS to get to this point, and now it feels like it's happening so quickly. Egg retrieval is 9:15am tomorrow - wish me luck ladies! I've got a heap of follies due to my PCOS - last count was just over 60, so they're expecting a pretty good number tomorrow. You can imagine how bloated and sore I'm feeling with so many follies measuring at around 15-20mm, to be honest I'm looking forward to having them out of here for a bit. Bring it on!! Xx

Hope you get lots of lovely eggs...that's a LOT for them to have stimulated you too?

Have they talked about OHSS and possible freezing before transfer?

Definitely keep drinking lots of water x

Yes I've been on a very low dose of stims and a few extra appointments for them to keep me closely monitored in case of OHSS. Latest is my hormones are fine so should go ahead this month, but yes - if any doubt at all they will do FET next month or later instead. I am on a mild IVF cycle.

Good luck. Just be warned you could still feel sore/bloated after EC as your ovaries have been so full plus the poking about during EC. I wasn't warned about this on round one. Apparently it's quite normal.

Thanks for the well wishes ladies! All went very well and they retrieved 16 eggs. Am back at home resting now, waiting for the call in the morning to see how they go overnight.
