Se99, we've had all tests done. We have our final check up with ORT test results in mid Aug, if everything is fine then we have been scheduled fur November. We've been on this journey fur almost 2 years now, we've been on strict diets, plenty of vitamins etc, so fingers cross, on the outset everything G do have gas been "normal".

Hi,

How to the whole process go for you!"?

Congrats on the positive by the way!

We are awaiting to hear are we being funded. Husband is still taking proxeed and I've decided to start acupuncture - have had one session. It's such a whirlwind of emotions! X

Hi allieb21,

The whole process went quite well, can't complain really, there wer times when we just wanted time to fly by s d other times when we just took each appointment as it came. When we finally got to see the consultant at UCLH, reality kicked in and we felt great about things moving. Our lifestyles have changed in terms of watching what we eat a day drink ( I myself have struggled a tad more than the wife.... Giving up all the "nice things lol).

We too wet advised to go fot accuptunture, aswell as seeing a nutritionist that helps couples with fertility issues. We've spent quite abit getting victims, and accupture ( but hey if we don't try, we will always regret not trying everything). I myself am 40 and the wife us 39 so we had to give it a go. Overall I think the experience so far as been good.

I found things much easier once we knew what our problem was, it's very daunting but when you start things move so quickly, you just have to take each day at a time!

I did acupuncture, started about a month before injections started, I didn't feel any different but I still kept it up as you want to try everything!x

Yea that's what I said to hubbie. Might as well try what we can when we can! Waiting game is so annoying! I just want to know what's going to happen x

It's the worst, I ended up booking some private appointments as my clinic does both private and Nhs and pay for some tests so everything was ready for when we started treatment!

Keep going and try to plan some fun things in for the weekends to help distract you and look forward too!x

It's perfectly normal to feel like that and if your anything like me, you'll read the same stuff over and over again lol

Watch plenty of YouTube videos on the who IVF process to kind if get an idea of how it will all unfold.

Professional medics will always say don't pay too much attention to it and you may get anxious for no apparent reason, and they will walk you through each and every step at a pace your content with.

No question is too silly so don't feel shy and ask all concerns to hurt consultant allie ok, it's s life changing situation we're all in and it's only natural to want the answers to even the basic stuff.

Hope I've been helpful :)

We hav'nt got to injection stage yet but I'm anxious about it or shall I say my wife is lol. Did you take them yourself? How long do you have to be on them, and did you get any side effects?

I was on short protocol so it's only 9-12 days,bi was so nervous and it felt like there was so much to remember for them but once you do the first day it's easy! I got my husband to do the first day and a few towards the end when my leg got sore. I didn't have any real side affects just feeling bloated and heavy in the last few days! I wish I hadn't worked myself up so much!

The accupture has been a great experience a do she is awesome. She's had quite a high success rate do you can imagine severe over the moon when she was able to help us

( we are still seeing her), where's your acciputurist based? Ours in london, as in from here, she tends to work with couples for 3/6 months atleast, and the nutrionist we are seeing knows her quite well so they keep in touch with each other.

I myself have seen changes on my SA compared to my recent SA. I too use to use proxceed, then switched to the supplements, my morphology has notched up a tad during that time but from what the consultant said to me last time I saw him, he says I had " more than plenty progressive swimmers to work with"

My intention is to improve it further but I'm not stressing too much, Cox that too wouldn't be good either.

Please keep in touch sbd the very best of luck

Hi allie,

Me & the wife have been referred to UCLH..... We've been waiting and testing for a year or so, we have a consultant check on final results in mid Aug, these are the ORT, SA, and HTC etc , if everything is ok then we should be good to go in November.

That's great I hope all is ok.

We are waiting for our test results to be sent to the CCG and then to hear are we being funded on NHS.

Hope it works out for you guys.

I have a friend who had a successful ICSI on first go and that was due to low morphology and another. Lots of successes so have to remain positive x

That'd positive to know.... Best of luck with you guys too, I'm sure the funding will be approved, once you get to consultant stage it's pretty much been approved, we are also going through NHS.
