I am so tired this past few days , think its a bit because of my job as so busy and all this apprehension about IVF , .
Still can't believe I've got this far , am trying to bit look too far ahead as I know it's still a way to go. We only get 1 fresh cycle and 2 frozen ( that's if there are any to freeze)
When do I get told how many eggs are in the follicles ? Is it the same day as egg col or the day after ?
Also, I'm still unsure about the day 3 or 5 transfer ? Can someone explain please .
I've booked off all of nxt week and wed , thur and Friday this week.
When would my test day be ? If egg col is this Wednesday ?
Off to go trigger now ππππ

Hope the last injection went well! They'll tell you after collection how many had eggs in them and whether they are mature or not. Then they will update you daily on the progress if they are fertilising or not. If your numbers are low, they may decide on day 3 transfer. If numbers are high or if all embryos look similar in terms of their development, they will take them to day 5. I had 3 that were all developing well by day 3 but they took them to day 5 to see if they would continue to develop and by then, only 2 were still looking good. Taking them to day 5 just allows them to divide more and see if there's a difference between them. I think my official test date was 11 days after the 5 day transfer (so 16 days after ec) but I tested early, on day 9. Best of luck with the rest of the treatment!
Usually you'll find out how many eggs the day of EC after the procedure. The next day they'll tell you how many fertilised. You should speak to your clinic to confirm. If the embryo(s) is looking strong at 3 days they'll continue to 5 but whilst a lot of people put pressure on themselves to get to day 5 (blastocyst) the decision made is what the clinic thinks is best for the embryo. If it's a 3 day transfer it's because they think it would be better off inside you... it's not as black and white as day 5 is better than day 3. Hope the trigger went well, I really didn't like that one! Not long now! X
