Hi Charliebishop. I feel that if you are invited to a baby shower, and you don't feel up to going, then don't! You can always send a card with a gift of money if you want, saying that you look forward to seeing her soon. If the person is particularly close to you, then why not invite her round, or go out for a coffee with her, so that you can talk over your feelings - just a thought. Never any easy time. Diane
