First IVF appointment

Hi, so we have out first IVF appointment tomorrow and feeling a bit nervous & anxious, also excited but don't want to get my hopes up either

Hiya sweet, totally know how you feel, I felt exactly the same. Nothing to feel anxious about though, the nurse will be lovely, and you will have a load of info thrown at you, so just take it in your stride. Wishing you all of the luck for your journey xxx

Health warning! It might not work this time... Don't throw your phone! I just wish someone had said ... The first time is not your last shot! It might take more than once. Support yourself with acupuncture and keep those feet warm. Best of luck with everything, I pray it works lots of love x

Thank you for your honest reply. That's kind of what I'm anxious about and trying to prepare myself for. I know most people say to be positive but I always try & prepare for the worst just incase but at the same time I guess it's hard not to get carried away with it all.

I've heard a bit about acupuncture, would you recommend it? 

Had a chat with the counsellor today, was alot to take in, so just trying to take one step at a time.

Prepare for the worst... Hope for the best. Of course IVF works! We know this ... It's when. We have only had 1 fresh cycle then thaw cycle but I had implantation using acupuncture, I think because it was relaxing me. I also tried to keep active, although I found the cramps after egg retrieval quite sharp & uncomfortable. 

Every body appears to react differently to the hormones but your clinic will keep you right. I do hope that it works first time as everyone deserves that! If not, you'll be ok ... Stay strong & keep talking about it x

Hey there. Good to see that you are starting IVF journey. I really hope this journey becomes amazing for you. Dear, you just remain optimistic in this situation. Nothing to worry in such circumstances. This will only make you more confused and will put you in stress. IVF is a good treatment but it shows results at its very time. IVF treatment shows different symptoms on each person. Hence take different time to give its results. You have to be calm and wait for the right time. Nothing to be anxious about. Whatever happens, you just have to hold on to everything. Hopefully, everything will become great for you. Best of luck for the future. Good luck.

I can understand your situation. Hope for the best and always try to think positive. I know chances of success are 50-50 but don't lose hope. IVF have chances of success too. Try to give your best. These treatments are a light of hope for the couples like you. So you have a lot of expectations with it's success. The first time is not your last shot. It might take more than once when you go through IVF. I do hope that it works. Stay strong dear. I will definitely pray for your success. This journey is so much more draining physically mentally emotionally and financially and no one could prepare me of the roller coaster ride that we have been on in the last 8 months but just remember each appointment is one step closer and hopefully it will all be worth it in the end! If I could give myself any advice before I started this journey it would of been... do not get your hopes up the first time - try and be positive but realistic! I only had two eggs retrieved which broke my heart but it only takes one egg! My fresh cycle failed but my frozen cycle was successful and I’m currently 8 weeks 5 days 💗 everything crossed for you. X
