Thanks Diane. Just a quick one can you tell me what week really is the start of the 2nd tri? Some app says 13 weeks and some says 13 weeks is the end of the 1st tri. Thanks xxx

Hi BabyLucas. I was always taught that week 13 was the beginning of the 2nd trimester. Your little one will just be starting to move up out of the pelvis now, with the top of your womb being a tiny bit above your pubic hairline. He/she can now move his/her head. How exciting is that?! Diane

Best of luck for the scan! At my 12 week scan (closer to 14 weeks) we could see our twins wriggling a lot - one looked like he was swimming or running which was lovely to see as my husband's a triathlete. I've told him that baby should take after him. The second twin was more of a diva, hand held high by the head, I think he let out a yawn too. It will be lovely for you to see your baby and will make it more real. Did you already have an early scan, so you know if you're having 1 or 2?

I'm due in July, a bit ahead of you but I'm starting to enjoy things now as its true what they say about the 2nd trimester - way more energy and morning sickness pretty much gone. Although, I did have a weird return of nausea/ dizziness last night and had a nosebleed a few days ago so it does bring some extra delights unannounced!

Best of luck, you'll be able to relax more when you have the 12 week scan for sure. x

That is so cute Tlove 😍 I had a scan at 7 wks and I'm carrying 1 baby. I'm not gonna lie I am nervous As the last ultrasound was 6 wks ago. I am really praying for a healthy baby as I am keeping myself healthy for him/her. Best of luck for the two of us, it's truly a dream come true xxx

It can feel like a long time between scans but once you get to 13 weeks, things start to look up. It's still difficult waiting for appointments and wondering about every little niggle but eventually you'll reach a good place and feel more positive about it all. I think going through this process makes you more guarded about pregnancy and you feel like it's too good to be true and what if something still goes wrong. But we've all waited a long time to get to this point and deserve a good outcome. We can only do our best and stay as healthy as possible to help things along. You're doing all that you can, I'm sure Friday will be great!

Hey BabyLucas, well I must be due close to you as I'm currently 14.5 weeks 😊, due end of August. I had my 12 week scan a week and a half ago and like you I was very nervous as hadn't seen anything since 7 week scan. It was the most amazing experience at the 12 week scan as baby was moving about so much and it was so surreal to see. Good luck for Friday x x

Hi Diane. I am a bit worried that I am too late for NT scan? I will have another scan tomorrow as they couldn't measure the baby properly last time as the baby keeps moving so nurse ask me to come tomorrow and we will try again but I will 14 wks+ 2 days.

Hi. Try not to worry about this, as they may still be able to do the scan. It’s reassuring that he/she is moving around a lot too. There maybe the chance of a blood test also, so ask about that. Good luck for today. Diane

Just been to my scan and they can't measure the neck now said it's too late so they just took a blood instead will know the result in 2 wks time
