Hi all, I started my first round of IVF on 23/10 and so far my two scans have shown 2-3 small follicles. It hasn't even been two weeks since I started treatment and the hospital are already talking about stopping. I have high FSH and low AMH so I knew it wouldn't be easy, I just feel that I have been given up on and I don't know what to do.
I have a scan tomorrow and a review with the fertility nurse, I would like advice on what to say/ask because I just feel so defeated every time I visit the hospital.
Does anyone have a similar experience or would be able to advise what to say/ask?
Sending positivity and love to all!

Hi I know its hard but if the follicles are growing that slow then either eggs wont be growing in them or they may not be the best of quality. Sometimes as hard as it is its best to stop & regroup with the consultant to discuss a change in protocol.
I dont have high FSH myself but I know people have used DHEA to help with this so it may be worth looking into. If you are having an NHS round of treatment its even more important to get the drugs & growth right as after egg collection that is considered a treatment & all funding is gone no matter whether they fertilise or not.
I would simple ask the consultant why he thinks its best to stop? what he'll suggest doing differently next time? and most importantly when you can start again?
Thank you that's really good advice. I've done some research on DHEA and I don't think it's for me but I am trying other things.
I will make sure to ask the nurse/doctor tomorrow the questions that you've given me. I assumed that if they stopped then that would be considered the first round.
